14th June Storm

Mike in Mousehole took this stunning photo of the Penlee Lifeboat the Ivan Ellen heading out into these massive seas to come to the aid of the yacht that had left Penzance for Falmouth that day - not a good decision with the forecast for that day - Cox Patch Harvey was not amused !
The amazing folks who crew the lifeboats are all Volunteers and have other jobs and the RNLI receives no money from the state - just gifts from wills, donations and money raised by their supporters - they deserve our gratitude and a few pence or pounds if you see a collection box !
Another from Mousehole  on 14th June yet again a few cars getting a power wash on the Harbour
Many thanks as always Mike !

  3. we are members of the RNLI. They do such a fantastic job. Although the waves are amazing to watch, it must be so frightening for the chaps going out in it. My admiration goes out to them all. Gaynor

  4. The men & women of the RNLI certainly are an amazing bunch and this strange "summer" weather is giving them a lot of work to do all around the UK Sue
