As forecast we had heavy rain for most of the day, with a nasty mist and fog moving in and out as well. In anticipation of this I wandered around the garden the other day and took a few photos of some flowers that are defying the elements and continuing to bloom.

Plants that arrive in the garden by themselves are often a lovely surprise and there is quite a show of these poppies this year - I think we may have had one last year.
