  1. Hello Sue,
I've enjoyed looking at all of your photos and especially those taken on your walk to Prussia Cove and back.
Such pretty little coves/inlets. You must have enjoyed your earlier holidays there. Those tracks on the rocks are well defined. Makes you wonder what they were used for! Thank you for the addresses you included. Both very interesting to read. John Carter must have been a tough character. Some of the cottages look very old.
I havn't seen "Ladies in Lavender" but was recently given a copy. Your information re the film setting is very timely. I will enjoy it even more with that information:)
I don't know much about boats, but I love the look of the "Happy Return". You get some lovely shots of the boats that frequent Mount's Bay. Beautiful golden sunset. Must have been lovely to watch.
I enjoyed the Opening Ceremony of the Olympics. It commenced at 5.00am our time here today. A bit early for me, so I watched the repeat this afternoon. Have been watching some of the events tonight . . . . swimming and bike riding, which are live.
Thanks for all of your lovely photos of the beautiful area where you live and further afield.
    Have a nice week-end,
    Betty

  2. Morning Betty, so pleased you enjoy our photos and the info I try to put on the blog. This area has such an amazing history. Happy Return is I think our favourite of the luggers that we see, she is sailed more than most of them if you have the time they have a website http://www.mbla.co.uk/index.html with several interesting pieces and photos. As you know we don't get summer sunsets from home - only winter ones, so it was a bonus yesterday to be able to watch both the yachts and sunset.
Hope the Olympics manages to carry on the way they started - most of the opening was done very well - just hope there aren't too many more embarrassing moments ! Sue
