I bought this Aloe Vera from Lidl and kept in in the porch where it grew quite large. Unfortunantely whilst we were away earlier this year it dried out too much and fell onto the tiled floor, which is where we found it on our return. I took it down into the courtyard, meaning to plant it near the Agaves which seem to like the conditions down there - but I forgot. The other day I noticed that it has a flower, so I have brought it inot the poolhouse as a treat as it's nice and warm in there.
Don't think it's going to be anything special, but never had one flower before - obviously it's a case of Treat em mean - make em flower !
All the flowers are love.y, have not seen aloe in bloom, interesting, and the photo by Jim is wonderful, just shows the many faces of the mount..well done all!!! Sue K
ReplyDeleteI've not seen an Aloe bloom either, don't think it's going to be a super dooper one, but hope it's not one of those that flowers and dies ! Sue

ReplyDeleteThank you for your comments and good wishes. The baby has not arrived yet, but we thought it was coming last night, but no! I'm just about to leave for hospital for a procedure to close a varicose vein which has clots in it. I will be glad to get it done.
Do hope that everything goes well - both your procedure and the new baby ! Sue
