It's hard to describe just how beautiful this part of the walk was, after so much bad weather we had hardly seen any Butterflies, but on this walk we must have literally seen hundreds - sadly most of them were zooming about and not settling - this photo shows a field which used to always have Cattle grazing, but which has been left to "go wild" and Wow it was covered in Bettony and whatever the yellow flowers were - but the butterflies loved them !
Pair of Six-spot Burnet Moths
A first for me, a Small Copper
Had to look this one up on the UK Moth website - it's a Lead Belle
and this super little chap - a Small Skipper - another first for me.
Lastly a Common Blue
