I've noticed this many times - sitting on the top of a hill - well todays walk to search for Dash the missing Pointer took us right past it - it is "Lands End Navigational Aid" - well that's what it said on the side - very strange looking thing ! Sadly no more sightings of Dash.
The footpaths up there are in a real mess after all the rain, with water running off the fields and pooling on the tracks.

Tilly watching Wooster scuttle along the side of this one - he went straight through the ones that weren't too deep - Tilly wasn't that keen, but plodded on and always keeps herself a lot cleaner than Wooster

My walking pole was really useful today - as were the Gore-tex lined boots we both have !
