Prussia Cove - well technically Boat Cove on the far side and Bessies Cove closest to us - very popular with swimmers - the beach is shingle, but the rocks are lovely flat ones that are nice to sit on.
All the lovely old properties you see here and more are holidiay homes see http://www.prussiacove.co.uk/
For tales of the Smuggling history of this area go to http://www.smuggling.co.uk/gazetteer_sw_11.html#fn151
From the Boat Cove side - to the left you can see an entrance to a small cave - it used to be much larger, but the roof fell in. On the rocks you can see the tracks of where a truck of some kind was pulled over them for so many years - rather comically the Coastguard  Cottages that were built could not see into this or Piskies Coves.
Cliff Cottage & Boat Cove appeared in a film called Ladies in Lavendar starring Judy Dench & Maggie Smith made in 2004
