Afternoon Walkies
Just after we had walked past the Church we came across this thorny little problem - waiting behind me was a large red lorry which obviously could not get throught this gap - note the wall to the left.It was parked almost 2 feet out from the wall and had no Road Tax either. The residents of Greeb Way and the lorry driver were not pleased - don't know what heppened next as we needed to carry on with our walk.

Hello there iam the lorry driver that was stuck yesterday, I phoned police enquiries and explained what was going on and the car had no tax, they told me to phone the dvla and then hung up on me, I then phoned them again and they said if there is no road restristions they can't do anything about it,when I told them I hope there is no fire or accidents as they wont get through they said they will send someone around .a young girl turned up at six and could not see the problem as she thinks she was only gone for half a hour, and as she drove off the police turned up, I told him how long I've been there and that she had no tax and he said that he was off to see her
ReplyDeleteHi,
DeleteJust wish the police would get more involved in something like this - bet he only tried to go after her because she had no Road Tax nothing to do with being a total prat and parking so badly and blocking the road. Still at least your shiny new lorry wasn't scratched. Sue
