Helicopters galore !

Early start for the Merlins from RNAS Culdrose -  I gather it was Families Day with trips on the Merlin and Sea King -  but then when I was in the garden I heard a different noise and had to run upstairs & grab the camera
Always quite a sight to see - a Chinook helicopter - evidently flying from RAF Odiham
Didn't notice until I looked at the photos later that they were flying with the loading ramp down

  1. Families day (771 sqn.) Trips for the family members in a Merlin and Sea King . The Chinook ,don't think it was Flt.Lt.Fortune , was callsign Vortex 599 , refuelled at Culdrose and then coastal tour around LandsEnd before returning to RAF Odiham .
