Some big waves rolling in this evening - must be bad over in Penzance as I've just noticed that Scillonian III has left Lighthouse Pier and is sheltering off Newlyn at the moment. She is supposed to be going to Scilly tomorrow, but turning around and heading straight back with her passengers. They are thinking she might take much longer to get out there !

Amazing photos! Would love to watch the sea from a sheltered spot. Can you hear the waves from where you live, or is the wind the loudest?
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't like to be on the causeway with those waves and wind around me!
There are times Betty when I wonder why we bought such an exposed house - the photos of the waves crashing onto Cudden Point were taken from the house - just three fields between us and the sea and when it's really windy you can hear a big gust approaching with a tremendous whoosh before we did the renovations the roof tiles would crash and chatter as the wind got underneath them - we've had special eadging put on to stop it ! Walking on the coastal footpath we had to shout if we wanted to attract the others attention with both the sea & wind noise about equal. The garden seems to be surviving without too much damage - so far !
