Busy Dry Dock
One from Mike - Passing Mousehole 6th. Sept .The Lowestoft built
“Defender” formally the “Al Majihad” an ex Sultan of Oman Navy fast attack
craft. After seeing 17 years active service in the Sultans navy she was
de-commissioned and returned to Lowestoft by a grateful Sultan as a display ship
in recognition for the part Lowestoft played in the building of the Sultan of
Oman's navy in the 1970s.
and here she is this morning - I'm assuming just arriving in the dry dock - with the props to hold her steady as the water drops away. Always good to see the Dry Dock getting work.
Just out of the Dry Dock the dredger Sand Snipe looking very smart
