We walked back round to Porthmeor to see it looking so very different than earlier, with blue sea and sky and although it was still very breezy in places it was still very pleasant.
The St Ives lugger Dolly Pentreath, earning her keep these days as a tripper and fishing trip boat
We were making for our favourite St Ives cafe - Porthmeor Cafe, with space to eat outside (with the dogs) and still have this stunning view and eat great food.
On a day like yesterday what more could you want - Jim had Croque Monsieur with ham & cheese,  and I had a wonderful Hake fillet with Canarian potatoes - mouth wateringly good !
Followed by just a little piece of their fabulous Lemon Meringue Pie - which has been all gone the last couple of times we've been there !  http://www.porthmeor-beach.co.uk

  1. Oh My!I never knew Porthmeor Cafe did such amazing Lemon Meringue! We are coming down in 10 days time so I know which cafe we will be heading for! We have been coming down to St Ives (out of season) every year since 2005 and can't wait for our 'fix' every year.

    1. Hi Julie, the Meringue is on show inside, so if you sit outside you don't see it unles someone near you orders it ! It had just arrived when we ordered our lunch and by the time Jim went to pay it had all gone - very popular and delicious !
We love St Ives - should go more often. Sue
