Going down like flies !

I woke up feeling much better this morning -  well I say woke up, but I didn't sleep much as there was something obviously wrong with Tilly last evening as she just wouldn't lie down, she just stood and came over to each of us - we took her to the garden several times, but she was really feeling sorry for herself. So I stayed in the lounge with her overnight - but at least she did settle until 6.15am. Since she is 9 years old I was rather concerned that she might have become Diabetic, so a sample was needed ! Jim went down with a little pot on the end of a stick and managed to get a sample. (the thing you have to do for dogs !)  We went to the vets this afternoon and fortunately it's only a bladder infection - exactly the same time as last year - so possibly getting wet on the beach has something to do with it. Hopefully she'll be fine in a few days.

    1. Thanks for the good wished I felt much better today.
Little Tilly has settled down much better this evening - think she must have been in pain yesterday. She's sleeping so soundly she hasn't noticed that Wooster is cuddled up to her - she doesn't like that usually ! Sue

  2. Horrible when pets aren't well as it makes one feel quite useless. my son's dog had to have an operation today, quite unexpectedly too. However, the spaniel's ears were fixed, and they discovered a benign tumor so took that out too.

    1. Poor little Spaniel, hope it recovers well. I think I overdramatised Tilly's problem as she had been drinking alot so I lept to conclusions - thank goodness she's been fine all day, but down to the garden 6 times this evening - hope we haven't set a pattern for the future !

  3. Yippee. Finally found a flight I can live with, so it's off to Cornwall on Nov 26, after American Thanksgiving. Maybe we can meet in your pretty village?
