As we walked past Church Farmhouse I just had to take a couple of photos of the super unusual plants there.  This is a Tecomaria Capensis - Cape Honeysuckle beautiful shiny evergreen leaves with these lovely flowers.
No idea what this one is, wondered if it's one of the many perrenial Salvias
Very pretty !

  2. Church Farmhouse is very very sheltered down below the Church and in the garden there are many plants from distant climes that would not survive in most gardens, even down here. We did spot lots more Valerian as we walked a different route through the village, very unusual ! Sue

    1. Many thanks for the ID - I looked in my big book, but it only has a few photos of purple & pink Salvias. Will have to ask Elizabeth if I can go and touch it as it's in the middle of her front garden ! Sue
