Mount's Bay still looking lovely from Trebarvah late afternoon
Trying out the new camera zoomed in to the castle in darker conditions - not great, but much better than the old one which would have been very grainy
The cliff fall is well away from properties - but I agree I wouldn't want to live quite that close to the edge ! My new camera is just the new version of the old one - Panasonic Lumix DMC FZ200 - the previous one was the FZ100 = sadly I give them a hard life - out twice a day every day and they're much too expensive to get repaired these days and it was really misbehaving. Still the same zoom 24x - really without a tripod I don't think more zoom works - tried one & wasn't impressed. Sue
Sue, the cliff, is roughly the spot where I get a signal to call 'home' when we're down. Such a pity another part has gone. I remember the days of rock pools and big cliffs over towards Men Du point. It's freezing up in Cumbria now. The lake we're next to has frozen over. Brrr -4!
Hi, yes it's sad the little cliffs are so crumbly, you can often see the crack where the next part will go in a storm. Met Davids mum yesterday - little dog was very brave and didn't try to run from Wooster. (He just doesn't realise how big he looks to a smaller dog !) She'd just bought the last calendar in the Craft Centre for her sister ! Such a pity it's so cold up there in Cumbria - seems to be either cold or wet at the moment. Sue
Sue, oh, thank goodness, you met my mother-in-law. We'd been trying to contact them all week, to make sure all was ok, with the recent floods. It was a chilly -5 this morning with snow capped Cumbrian mountains!
Hi Susan, pleased to put your mind at rest - if she's down here & you need to contact her you've got my number, you can always give me a call & I'll pop down to give her a message. I'm shivering thinking of you up there in the frozen Lake District ! Sue
I love this...just think of those that have lived and still live there, what a thrill...suek
ReplyDeleteThe St Aubyn family always seem to be so very proud and happy with their beautiful home when seen on TV Sue
DeleteGreat shot, would you mind telling me what make of camera you have now>+????
ReplyDeleteShame about the cliff fall, as much as we would like a sea view we wouldn't like to be living in that property.
Many thanks for the great photo's.
