As we walked back up the lane from Trenow, I turned around and saw a light on in the castle

  1. Hi Sue, is it still possible to walk over to the mount even when it's closed? I'm thinking about when we come down in December. By the way... beautiful photos of the sunset. can't wait to use my camera, just bought a tripod too!

  2. Hi there, Yes you can walk over to The Mount and if the tide comes in a bit faster than you expected they use the amphibious vehicle to get you back to Marazion - The Castle is still open Tuesday and Friday for guided tours at 11am and 2pm.
You're getting very serious if you've bought a tripod - the anti shake on most cameras is really good - even when on a boat etc. Sue

  6. Cormoran? I've been away too long so I don't get the answer. Completely agree that the light makes the Mount look very mysterious and atmospheric.

    1. Venture to a legendary location steeped in myth called St Michaels Mount.

"Step foot in a land where giants once walked. Legend says that a mythical giant named Cormoran once lived on the Mount, and he used to wade ashore and steal cows and sheep from the villagers to feed his gargantuan appetite."
Our Son Nick always loved this story when he was young !
