Drastic measures, but should do the trick,WELL DONE Mr Mason. We thought we were going to lose our palm last night, 20ft high and blowing all over the place, but woke up this morning to it looking just fine.phew.
ReplyDeleteSo Pleased that your palm survived intact - we though this one would be OK until the wind turned around and was much stronger than forecast - 62mph gusts that came through the gap between us & the neighbours. We'll have to see how it goes - it's one that we brought with us - used to be in a pot in Leics. so it would be sad to lose it !
DeleteLooks like that will hold. Hope you don't get strong winds for a while to give it a chance to settle in again!
ReplyDeleteHope the sun is shining today. You may/may not be interested to know, that we are expecting a top of 38C tomorrow. Much too hot for me. I've closed the shutters and pulled down the canvas blinds tonight to keep things cool inside. Usually have to put some cooling on around 4.00pm.
Off to bed now. It's 10.15pm.
Yes we did have a wonderful sunny day although with a strong wind from the North - my sister came for a visit and we sat with the patio door wide open and the sun streaming in - the advantage of facing due South ! I don't like it too hot either, I tend to feel lethargic, which is a shame ! Hope it wasn't too hot overnight - I really feel uncomfortable then ! Sue
