We've seen some of this jelly fungus before - can't remember if I ever found out what it was or if someone told me on the blog - in case you're wondering - non edible - thank goodness !
Tremella mesenterica common names include the yellow brain, the golden jelly fungus, the yellow trembler, and witches' butter) is a common jelly fungus in theTremellaceae family of the Agaricomycotina. It is most frequently found on dead but attached and on recently fallen branches.
There's certainly plenty of dead & decaying branches in this wood !
