Big decision this morning as to whether Jim would have time to take the dogs to Trebarvah & back before the start of the forecast heavy rain - as so often he got it wrong - the rain arrived and he'd not put his waterproof on - really nasty out there with a very strong wind and heavy rain.
Just in case you'd noticed that I haven't been out much with the dogs - my knee is a bit swollen and strangely itchy - not sure what is going on, but hopefully I've just been standing on it too much in the kitchen and it will soon be back to normal.

  2. My husband had a new knee just six weeks before we came to Cornwall and he is just weaning himself off the painkillers. He had the other knee done about three years ago. It's worth it in the end.

    1. Pleased he's doing well - no idea why mine is acting up - it's the itching that's strange - hope I'm not allergic to the metal in there !

  3. Ah, knees! Why do they act up so much? I came home from Cornwall with two very swollen and painful knees - but my own fault. I was showing pictures on my laptop to a neighbor and knelt next to her for 45 mins on the slate floor of the cottage. That is something I will not repeat soon as it has taken me three weeks of exercises and icing to get back to a relative normal again.
Anyhow, hope you had a lovely Boxing Day which I miss here in the States. It is back to normal and not relaxing at all, so Christmas is done:(

    1. I think kneeling on my knee started the problem - Doc insists I can kneel on it, but it doesn't feel good when I do !
We don't really have Boxing Day here - not as it used to be - anywhere near a City or larger shope is bursting with bargain hunters, not sitting relaxing after the "Big Day" - when I was young Mum always called it her day off - as she just did some mashed potatoes and we used up all the cold meat etc. Jim and I did the same yesterday - although we've still got lots of Gammon & Turkey left - which we love ! 4. Oh, so the same as America where it is off to the mall to do returns and buy up marked down bargains. I refuse to do that and we had a lovely walk on the beach at - wait for it - Cardiff, (on Sea) that is! Local streets there are called Manchester and Birmingham for some reason.
I really enjoyed seeing the photos of the light snowfall at Perranuthnoe because it looks magical.

    1. Just had a look around Cardiff, Encinitas, CA - amazing to see all those roads with UK place names - very strange !
Still it looks lovely and sunny there and I bet the sea is a lot warmer as well !
