I needed to pop out to Rosudgeon, so thought I'd  go down to take some photos as I'd seen there were a few surfers and a kayaker down there - by the time I got there they were all gone !
There were just a few dogs down at the far end of the beach and these two ladies - the one on the left has made it her mission in life to clear all the rubbish off the beaches from Marazion to Perranuthnoe -  she was saying that when she's filled two more bags that will be 1,000 - a wonderful job well done, but isn't it sad that there's so much debris washed up in the first place
In the gloom an Oystercatcher came down to potter on the beach
But a couple of very lively Springer Spaniels arrived !

  1. That lady deserves a medal! I hate to see rubbish dumped..in this day and age it is unnecessary with plenty of bins.We were always taught to take our rubbish home!...and still do!

    1. Most of the rubbish is unfortunately dumped or lost at sea - lots of plastic of all shapes and sizeswhich will never rot away and locally, stuff that falls off the fishing boats - then in the Summer it's more like dirty nappies and sun lotion bottles ! Nasty !

  2. The worst is when it is medical waste thrown overboard. We did a beach clean up once in Del Mar, CA, and found a lot of syringes-yuck!

    1. Yes I think they do find really nasty stuff like that in some places - this lady is very organised - though I think I'd be wearing gloves !
