Sorry ! not a great way to end the year !

We awoke to torrential rain yet again and even to get the dogs out into the garden it was dog coats on, my waterproof, wellies and hat ! So no walkies this morning, just a bit of shopping. By the time we got home from Tesco the rain had stopped, so we took the dogs down to the beach - before it was gone, as the tide was coming in. As the footpaths are in such a mess, the beach is the favourite spot for most dog owners at the moment !
The recent heavy seas have been scouring the beach and the sand is very low - typical of a Winter beach, it usually comes back by Spring !
Looking back to the cliff from the waters edge, you can see how high the stones at the back of the beach are.
