Ah, home sweet home! I usually have to do the rounds of the Pendennis headland when I am home. I spent many an hour selling from an ice cream van overlooking the harbour when I was a student on summer vacation, so I am very partial to the view.
ReplyDeleteWe usually go to Falmouth regularly, but since we have to take the dogs (unless it's a very quick trip) we like to go on a fine day and there's been so few of those recently. I hope you were selling "proper" Cornish ice cream ! We often buy some - either from Castle Drive or out on Pendennis Point - not yesterday though - much too cold "
DeleteYes, proper scooped out Cornish ice cream, but there were some lurid lollies too I seem to remember, and Mivvies.
DeleteI'm old enough to have to admit I loved Mivvis !
DeleteLovely lot of photos. Glad you had some blue sky and sunshine. Sounds too cold to go swimming! That lady must be crazy or maybe she does it every day and is used to it!
ReplyDeleteHope the sun shines on you tomorrow:)

PS Still hoping to come your way. One of the party broke his leg and it's taking a long while to heal!
Strange day today - cold and the wind is cold from the East. Lands End Weather is showing 6.4C but with a wind chill of 3.0C so it feels much colder ! Looking South it is very grey, but as I drove home the North was bright and sunny !
DeleteDo hope that your friend's leg heals and that you are able to make your trip !
