At the end of our visit to Mousehole I turned around, to take a shot of the huge message up on the hill above the village, that alternates between Happy Christmas and Happy New Year !
We then set off on our long walk back to the car, which was almost in Newlyn !

Thank you for these pics. We saw them being put up but didn't see them lit up as we were too early in December. You've captured them brilliantly.

Thanks Gaynor, we were really impressed - such a lot of hard work goes into it and the lights on the water were wonderful ! Sue
DeleteI've always heard about the Mousehole lights, but never seen them, at least until now. Thanks for some lovely shots of the harbour. I also love the Keigwin house(s). I bought a really nice cushion just down the street from there in May!
ReplyDeleteIt is such a lovely village and it looked quite specatcular all lit up, so pleased we made it at long last ! I was amazed that they'd managed to keep them all working with the terrible weather that they had, both just before switch-on and then since ! Sue
DeleteLovely photos Sue. They sure put a lot of work into this great display. The reflections are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteForecast max. 41C here tomorrow and an extreme fire danger day!
Betty
The lights were really superb and all done by volunteers and really draw a big crowd.
DeletePhew 41c is a far too hot for me and must be a worry if everything is so dry. Time to fill the gutters with water and hose down the house ! Must be very worrying - Stay cool and safe Betty.
