PERRANUTHNOE is a small village on the South Coast of Cornwall, just East of Marazion, there is a Car Park and sloping access to a safe sandy beach and the beachside Cabin Cafe. It has The Victoria Inn a superb multi award winning pub, which serves super food both lunchtimes & evenings, - a Church dating back as far as 1160. The Lynfield Centre which houses The Cowhouse Gallery, The Peppercorn Cafe and a hairdressers.
That is a good surfing beach. I didn't think there were many on the south coast, but you really seem to get some good waves there. La Jolla is our closest beach, and the waves always seem rather tame to me - in spite of it being mentioned in a Beach Boys' track from their surfing era.
ReplyDeleteWe can get some superb waves - wave height out at Sevenstones off Lands End was 18.5ft this morning - we saw massive splashes on the rock close to Lamorna.
DeleteThe surfers like Perranuthnoe as it's free to park October to Easter and it's fairly safe - less rips than Praa Sands
When the surf is good we have sometimes had the whole village completely full of their vehicles - one day last Winter they were parked all the way up the lane and on the Chinese restaurant Car Park on the Helston Road. Some had come from way up in North Cornwall
