    1. Looks like the whole country is getting the wind at the moment and I well remember the wind over on the Eastern side of the country.
Everything here than can blow around has already blown away here - hence the heavy garden furniture etc it's not looking good for any of us for the next few days - although we're due to see some sun tomorrow it will still be blowing. Strangely the wind has dropped right down at the moment, but there's a huge area of rain just arriving. Sue

  2. Isn't it funny how we become attached to things like gloves? I've got a special scarf I wouldn't be without on a cold, windy day.

    1. I've had the gloves for years - although only wear them in the worst weather - they are suede, so hold of some of the rain and are non slip for holding onto the dog lead & walking pole. Had to give them a throrough wash as one of them had been driven over in Trebarvah Lane. My favourite piece of clothing for this Winter is a fleece "neck" - you just pull it over your head and tuck it into your jacket - bought a black one for Jim as well !

  3. Looks like a miserable day. You have a great view of the weather and can see what's on the horizon, 'though seems like it misses you sometimes:)

    1. It was a bit grim yesterday, but we've woken up to sunshine this morning which is making the rough seas look lovely with the sun shining onto the white water. The worst of the weather does often pass us by quite quickly - but there's some really nasty weather heading for us again on Friday by the looks of it.

  4. Yes I've got a 'fleece neck' too and so has Andy, although his has a draw string at one end and so he can wear it as a hat which he often does.
The wind was quite strong at times with us yesterday but it's died right down now.

    1. We wear the fleece neck and hat on a bad day ! We had a calm night after the very windy day, but it looks like it's on the way up again - although it's gone round to the West which means we're not hearing as much as we face South. Sue
