Is it really January
Thought I 'd put all these flower photos together - healthy looking Osteospurmums at the end of The Churchway footpath
Just the one little Paper White outside The Dubban
Along the hedgerow there were lots of Butterbur(Petasites) in flower
Well Sue it certainly looks like January outside our window tonight! Very hard frost and lying snow everywhere.Lovely to see your flower photos, and great to see the days getting longer. Noticed a big difference here in Cardiff as had been a sunny day and was still light at 5pm. Jane.
We've been so lucky with the weather - just poking out the end of lots of the bad stuff - heavy rain & wind tomorrow - such a pity as the footpaths were just a little bit nicer to walk on. Still no potatoes planted which then go under polythene to get the early crop. The plants that got a bit frosted in the garden seem to be OK. Jim wanted to move the Belladonna Lillies during their dormant time - we've just nooticed that they've got leaves already. Sue
Lovely pictures again....flowers beautiful...scenery wonderful.Hard frost last night...and more snow on the way !My car has turned from a "snowmobile" into a" frostmobile"...really enjoy all your pictures..especially now. Thanks Sue,macca.
I presume that what we've got today will come your way eventually - it's been pouring with rain all day - I think it's almost passsed us by now - so that will be really nasty for you ! Drive safely if you have to go out again - rain on frozen ground is truly treacherous ! Sue
I've enjoyed all of your posts over recent days. The snow made things look different! The village and the church, very picturesque. I love your shots of the church in all weathers. Great to see some colour with the flowers. That yellow daisy is wonderful to have flowering in winter and the Osteospermum seems to flower off and on all year. I love the first jonquils. Don't know the Butterbur. They're all a promise of the blooms come:) Just hope it starts to get a little warmer for you soon. Thanks for sharing.
I too loved the Bush Daisy, don't know why we haven't got any in the garden - must go to the local Garden Centre and get some. The Butterbur are very prolific down here - in the garden they're a weed, but in the hedgerows they're wild ! Rather a wild & wet day here and things on the carpet fitting front have not gone well ! Sue
