Really not much I can do about the weather - grey and cloudy again, with just a few spits of drizzle every now and then. Still we got a lot done - the Christmas decorations are back in the loft and the house is looking reasonably neat and tidy - well by my standards anyway ! We just need to lower the Christmas Tree down from the balcony and take it down to the bonfire and we're done !

  1. I'm debating whether to get rid of the Xmas tree or wait until our oldest gets back from his survey ship in a couple of weeks, but don't think the tree will last that long :(
Your pics look so tranquil after the past few weeks of rain and wind. How I miss being there.

    1. I've been wondering whether to leave the tree for a little while as I've seen our resident little Wren zooming in & out - but might just be exploring !
It has been very quiet here this week, without the roaring wind and seas. One day of rain in the forecast then back to at least drier weather. The reservoirs in the Southwest are at 100% what a surprise !

  2. Also busy taking down the outside lights and leaving a huge trail of needles when I took out the tree. It was very dry in spite of water left in the stand.
Glad to hear there is plenty of water in the reservoirs so there will be no more talk in the British media of a "drought." Coming from So Cal, that makes me smile every time I pass the Argal Dam at Mabe and can see the water is not quite up to the top.

    1. Since our little tree was outside on the balcony, it has of course had a huge amount of rain and it's loved it - it looks as good as the day I bought it ! Must admit last year I put the house tree outside the front door - waiting for Jim to drag it down to the field and three months later it was still there - needles dropping off etc. So this year's is going the quick way down !
