After a very windy and very wet night the clouds parted and surprised us by exposing some lovely blue sky.
It was my turn to walk the dogs, and it turned out to be a lovely chatty walk as there were lots of folk out enjoying the fine morning. I took this panorama near the top of the hill at Trebarvah.

Lovely to see blue sky, all we've seen is white with big fluffy bits floating down most of the day. What a lovely day you've had, although it sounds like you were lucky as Devon got the same as us.
ReplyDeleteThe blue sky was covered by shower clouds after lunch and there were lots of heavy showers and Jim just took the dogs for a quick walk before the next one arrived. I think there was some snow on Bodmin Moor, but nothing like the rest of the country. Mind you - the rain was so bad last night that The Meadery in Newlyn was nearly flooded again by the swollen river - and the fields and footpaths are really waterlogged again !
DeleteI do feel for those who have no power when it's so cold.
Nice to see blue skies Sue, up here we have snow laden skies and 6 inches of snow that has had to be cleared off the drive, the wind has now got up so I expect we will have drifting overnight.
ReplyDeleteIt's been a few years since we've had real snow that stayed around - but we've had more than our fair share of rain !
ReplyDeleteThe blue sky was not really in the forecast and was a pleasant surprise - although walking on the footpaths which were running with water was a bit tricky. (only for me of course !)
