Wasn't sure which way this bank of cloud was moving early this morning - which turned out to be a sad day for Jim and his fellow ex employees of Jessops (with 200 Camera Shops)  and even worse for the current employees when the company was put into administration today.
So very sad, since it was a really well run and highly profitable company for many years, but after flotation on the stockmarket, bad management and a dramatic change in the way so many people take photographs sent it on a downward spiral.
Looking over Mount's Bay it was clear sky, but also a band of cloud low down
Just a few minutes later, it was beginning to look promising and we could see beach !

  1. I read that today Sue, this is so sad especially as it had just entered the Stock market, but poor management is no excuse.
The way photography has turned out I am not surprised it has had an effect, we all take it for granted when the shutter is released it can be seen instantly and the millions of mobile phones with camera`s, not that the picture`s are much good from those devices but, it`s how a lot of people like them and can be sent around the world at an instant.

    1. Yes Heiko, Sad for all the staff that are currently there, we know the people in Penzance as Nick worked there for quite a while - can't imagine they'll manage to find a buyer for anything other than the possibly the big stores.
