Great view! I like the pattern of the fields. Will look even prettier when the daffodils are all flowering.
ReplyDeleteYou must be fed up with your sore back. Happens so quickly, but can take time to heal. Hope it comes good soon.
I love the views across the fields, the farmers work hard - as they do everywhere always having to deal with the wrong weather at the worst possible time. They will hope to pick the Daffs before they bloom to get them to the shops at the right time for them to flower in the home !
DeleteMy back isn't too bad - was made worse by me trying to be careful of the original injury and tripping over something at home and crashing down onto the floor - what a pratt fall ! It's just a little better each day.
Mawnan had fields of daffs one February and pickers in the fields, but now the farmer seems to have moved on and has a new crop in the fields. Worst of all I hear the fields may be sold off for a new development which will spoil the entry to the village.
ReplyDeleteThe problem with the Daffs is that huge amounts come in from Holland and are often much cheaper - the labour to pick them costs money as well. Same over on Scilly where lots of the old flower fields are lying empty.
DeleteDevelopment is always a worry as so many villages have been swamped by too many new houses.
