It's a sure sign of wind from the North when these lovely clumps of moss land on the balcony. They grow on the roof on the North Facing side of the house and get blown up and over the roof ! Wooster loves playing with them and often brings them into the house !

    1. The new carpet is still laying in the lounge in two huge rolls - carpet fitter has a full book at the moment and is struggling to fit us into his schedule. The moss seems to always be dry when it detaches from the roof, and Wooster being rather strange, brings it to one of us with it delicately held in his mouth - never damaged !
The good news is that I've discovered that the large reclining back come off the old sofa really easily, which will help when the new ones arrive next week. Sue

  2. I was going to make the same comment about the moss on the new carpet, so I am glad it must dry out and get blown easily. Wooster must have a very gentle mouth like a good hunting dog.

    1. He's really comical as he picks up anything that he finds on the floor and brings it to us - if it's something tiny it can be quite a job to search his huge mouth ! Gun Dog mouths are very different to other breeds that hunt etc.- so soft & gentle - although a Pointer doesn't retrieve ! Sue
