There's just no getting away from the Starlings at the moment.  A large group had gone down onto one of the St Piran's Stud fields.
As we were walking back towards the village, they started to fly over in large groups and land on the far horse field
Quite amazing to watch them all drop down onto the field - and then something would startle them and up they'd all go - then sink back down again

  1. The Starlings have been amazing! I wonder if they will be around in a couple of months time.

    1. Possibly not - I gather that they're probably from the even colder continent, so will probably have gone back by April - they just seem to be staying around this part of the coast at the moment - strangely we've never seen them flying East in the morning - just West in the evening - we're probably not up early enough !
