Flowering currant has such a distinctive smell, don't you think?
ReplyDeleteYes ! it reminds us of our house in Leics. as we had a couple of bushes by the garage which would be a picture at this time of year and would smell lovely as you walked past. Don't seem to see many down here !
DeleteHavn't seen the Flowering Current for years. Looks very healthy.
ReplyDeleteWhile I'm finishing planting my Iris, yours are blooming. Love that blue.
Still quite mild here and not much in the way of Autumn colours yet.
Thanks for sharing all the flowers in your area. Love to see them as well as the lovely scenery.
I think that there are so many other flowering Shrubs that the Flowering Currant has lost out - certainly not seen many down here. I like to look at the gardens as we walk through the village - we used to have a super village Open Gardens each year when we were fund raising for the little Church Rooms - sadly we were in the middle of renovations at the time - not that the garden is up to rigorous examination - but what we loved was seeing the wonderful views as you progressed around them !
