PERRANUTHNOE is a small village on the South Coast of Cornwall, just East of Marazion, there is a Car Park and sloping access to a safe sandy beach and the beachside Cabin Cafe. It has The Victoria Inn a superb multi award winning pub, which serves super food both lunchtimes & evenings, - a Church dating back as far as 1160. The Lynfield Centre which houses The Cowhouse Gallery, The Peppercorn Cafe and a hairdressers.

As I walked along the field I was serenaded by this Dunnock - pleased to see the buds appearing at last !

  1. They really do have a lovely song,we have one that sits in the Honeysuckle and sings it's heart out(not surprising it belongs to the thrush family is it?)We also have a wren who either sings the sweetest song or makes a loud raucous noise!Loved the info.on the hummingbird.macca.

    1. We usually get the raucous noise from the Wren as they go into the various shrubs and then the dogs arrive in the garden which makes them fly off to the fence and tell us all off ! We did have a relatively tame one for quite a while - but then when I was taking photos of a Buzzard one day I got a shot of it with a tiny bird in its feet - we never saw "our" Wren" again so assume it was sitting on the hedge and never saw the Buzzard. Sad, but that's nature I suppose ! Sue

    2. As you say Sue it's nature,we have had a Sparrowhawk over the weekend....lots of feathers !(who he got we don't know)You are certainly right about the Robin...we have three all trying to pair up with a lot of aggressive behaviour.macca.
