Yuck, what a horrible day you've had. It's been lovely up here today. The thermometer in the car read 11! Managed to get out for a walk before the rain comes tomorrow and got a couple of grebe. Just makes me think of The Greebe and the views to St Michael's mount. I've also just noticed that one of the bluebells in the pots in the garden is out. Fingers crossed for some better weather for you all soon.
ReplyDeleteWe did have some sunny weather when most of the country was under snow so I suppose we all have to have our share of bad days. Our woodland Bluebells are not showing any sign of flowering yet and even our Narcissi in the garden are very slow to bloom. But the birds are singing happily so Spring must be here.
DeleteWe had similar weather here today as well.I was out in it watching our Nick play rugby. I have to admit though I got so wet watching the first half, I sat in the car with the heater on and the wipers going to watch the second half. I do hope it clears up next week.

I was rather miserable - I felt guilty because Jim was going to take the dogs out when there was light drizzle and I looked on the met office radar and told him it would be gone soon - but it did the opposite and just got worse & worse - so he took them anyway !
DeleteI hope you could see which team was which - sometimes the mud makes them all look alike ! Sue
I could almost be smug!(but I wo'nt)yes we did have a lovely day, almost T shirt weather, then the rain arrived, not as bad as you had.As you say the birds are singing it must be spring!macca.
ReplyDeleteIt really was a pig of a day and this morning isn't looking much better - SW wind gusting 48mph and still rather misty - but I can see Cudden Point, so not as bad as yesterday.
DeleteThink that Mrs Crow is now "confined to nest" sitting on egg's so it must be really rocking up there. Sadly my favourite Osprey - Nora from the Welsh Dyfi nest has not returned from migration (yet!) and her poor mate Monty stood with a fishy present most of yesterday waiting to give it as a present when she arrived - it's been a bad year for migrating birds so far ! One of the Rutland nests has 2 eggs already ! Sue
