Jim's panorama of this lovely viewpoint - with one of the few seats around !
These lovely cerise Rhododendrons are just massive - hadn't noticed the mole hills until I was doing the photos - must be very annoying on such a lovely lawn
If you look at the people standing right by the huge Rhodo. you can really get an idea of how big they are !

  1. Absolutely gorgeous! I love rhodos and of course, they are never seen here. Don't know why, as azaleas do and ours have just finished, also our camellias. Maybe I should try a shrub and see what happens as they have the same leathery leaves as camellias, and might survive. Lovely photos, Sue of the estate, and I hope Shelterbox made pots of money too.

    1. Hi Lynn, yes the Rhodos are amazing - never seen any quite that huge before ! Can't think why Rhododendrons have not made it over there - they originate in the Himalayas I think, perhaps you are too hot & dry. It's sad that so many of the Rhododendron Ponticums have been destroyed in the countryside as they are invasive and kill off the native wild plants - but I still loved them ! Will try to find out how much they made for Shelterbox. Sue
