PERRANUTHNOE is a small village on the South Coast of Cornwall, just East of Marazion, there is a Car Park and sloping access to a safe sandy beach and the beachside Cabin Cafe. It has The Victoria Inn a superb multi award winning pub, which serves super food both lunchtimes & evenings, - a Church dating back as far as 1160. The Lynfield Centre which houses The Cowhouse Gallery, The Peppercorn Cafe and a hairdressers.

The lane on the left used to be free parking for all - bird watchers crossed the road to look over Marazion Marsh on the right and everyone else parked either to Windsurf, Kite surf, walk on the beach, or just sit and have a cup of coffee and look at the view of The Mount.
The powers that be have decided that this should be a cycle track, which is wider than the parking used to be - so the road has been narrowed as well, sadly no more photos of The Marsh or The Mount from here !   Thankyou Cornwall Council !

  1. Oh, the powers that be! I remember my parents liked to park here and look at the view.

    1. It all started beacause of complaints about Motor Homes staying overnight there, so instead of putting up a "No Overnight Parking" sign and fining them if they did, they close it off for everyone - except cyclists of course.
I think it was more about the fact theey hated the fact that parking was FREE along there !

    1. Obviously there is still the Car Park at the Junction - but there is a charge !
Wouldn't have happened if we'd still had the old Penwith District Council - but we were forced to have this nasty unitary authority which is Cornwall Council and they just don't listen to local opinion - just get on with wasting money on stupid schemes ! Sue

    1. When I first heard about it - there was such an uproar I thought that was the end of it - but no - they know best !
They're putting double yellow lines in the laybys on the A394 - just a few marked parking places left - again due to Motor Homes being there permanently - but they won't put any on our lane to stop the bus getting stuck again !
