We eventually arrived at the Nine Maidens standing stones looking very different than the last time we were here !
July 2012 - taken from a different angle -  I remember there was water all over the place and it's so green !

  1. I do find standing stones fascinating, they could tell a tale or two ! I was told there is a mirror image in Scotland of The Old Man Of Gugh...have you ever heard that story ! We went to Carnac but they didn't seem to have the same mystique as the Cornish and 'Scilly' ones ! Lovely bank holiday pictures thankyou Sue.macca.

    1. Love to see the ancient stones etc as we drive around - and on Scilly - think they should have more boards with descriptions of what people are looking at & why ! Not even proper signpost to them - there were visitors with maps up there - hope they got to where they wanted to !
We really enjoyed it as it makes a nice change. Sue

    1. Probably at the same time as your visit to Men an Tol as they are reasonable close together.
No idea why it's 9 maidens when there are 11 stones ! Sue
