Sue...whatever they are they are very pretty, but I looked in my bulb book and found Tulipa biflora yellow- centred white about five blooms on each stem, and tarda yellow centred white stars dwarf April-May.I think I'll look for some for next spring !(if that's what they are !!)macca.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you're right - they really are very pretty ! Sue
DeleteIt is so lovely to see the landscape changing and coming to life through your photos. There's a lot of color in the hedgerows and gardens all of a sudden.
ReplyDeleteI'm pleased to hear from you Lynn - heard about the fires on the TV news - are they not in your part of California.
DeleteThe landscape does change dramatically when things start to grow - it's lovely to see green & flowers again !
The fires are further north in Malibu and along the coast there. We have had some small grass fires in our back country area, but didn't have such strong Santa Ana winds, so nothing big developed.
ReplyDeleteNow the winds have swung around and are coming off the ocean instead of the desert, so we might actually get some drizzle which will help raise the humidity levels.
So pleased you are all OK the fires look very scary as they seem to spread so quickly in the Santa Anas.
DeleteI suppose rain or drizzle are a bit of a novelty in your part of the world !
Nice fine start to the day here, which is strange as it's a Bank Holiday weekend and they're never fine !!
