We had offered to drive Australians Betty & Barbara along the North Coast Road as it's really really narrow and winding in places.
First stop was Sennen Cove, looking lovely at high tide this morning
The new Lifeboat slipways and Whitsand Bay in the background
A slightly hazy view of Cape Cornwall
Jim managed to tuck the car off the road so that we could take a photo of the view down to the cove

    1. We don't make our way towards the North Coast very often as the dog walking is so tricky due to the high cliffs, but wheneverr we do we love it ! We were so lucky with the weather - the warmest day of the week. We were wondering if we should go down to Cape Cornwall, but there was not time for everything as we needed to arrive at Zennor in time for some lunch.

    2. I must admit the cliffs terrified me ! I was a bit nimbler in those days (in fact a lot nimbler !) I quite understand you not taking the dogs ! Hope Betty and her friend have a safe journey home.macca.

    1. The forecast was for a cooler day with some cloud - how wrong they were (what a suprise !) The only cloud we saw was when we were at Sennen, after that it was just lovely blue sky and no real wind at all. Jim was a real star managing to drive and then stop when Betty spotted something !
Hope they are not too tired to go to The Mount today as they're off on Saturday morning. Sue

  3. You can warn Betty and Barbara that it's a bit chillier and very windy up here at the moment. They need to go to the Botanics in Edinburgh, when they get up. Fingers crossed for the same weather when we get down. Message got through. Many thanks.
