You know the old saying "Cast ne'er a clout 'til May is out !" I've always wondered which May it was  - the month or the flowering bush - well I've been watching this May bush that is in the middle of the Gorse that has just finished flowering. The May (Hawthorn) is just starting to flower, so this year you can cast your clout anytime about now, since it's in flower and it's the end of the month !
Sounds like a Scottish saying to me !
Big shower cloud that just missed us
