Don't be too brave! A young lady was seriously injured walking her dog on a public footpath on the Lizard last week and is still in RCH.
ReplyDeleteHadn'theard about that, but we're always careful - Wooster & Tilly are always on the lead and seem not to look to right or left - just keep walking - If we had a problem I think we would have to let go the leads, as they could get away faster than us.
DeleteHope that the lady is OK - bet she'll be staying away from cattle from now on - so unpredictable !
It seems to have been kept very quiet, so far. The dog was on the lead and the cattle at the far end of the field, when she entered. Think they must have had calves with them. She let the dog go but the cow attacked her anyway, throwing her in the air and then rolling on her. She is lucky to be alive and won't be going near cattle in the near future - likely to be in hospital for some time. Even without calves, cattle certainly need to be treated with caution!
