A panorama of the parade of Steam - just after this and without warning they all sounded their whistles - hard to describe -  it was quite literally ear splitting and the dogs were terrified - especially Wooster and I was having to put my arms right around him and hang onto his lead at the same time or he would have bolted !  Fortunately I had taken the Rescue Remedy spray with me and he soon calmed down.  Such a pity as he had been doing really well.
