The Lugger rowing race

Ripple v Barnabus - whilst we were watching the race we had a lovely chat with some blog viewers from Northamptonshire - who recognised Jim from all the times he's in the photos ! It is always super to meet people who share a little of our lives in Perranutthnoe via the blog.
There seemed to be a handicap system and Barnabus went first - two to each oar as they are heavy boats
Off went Ripple, with owner John Lambourn manning the oar just over the 19
The only time they were together - as Barnabus came back down as Ripple was still heading up
Couldn't hear the tannoy, but I'm pretty sure that Barnabus won !
