Walkies alongside the River Cober in Helston

Since the doga had been on their leads all day, we stopped off in Helston as we passed through and walked the dogs along side the River Cober - which was looking rather brown and murky after the recent rain
Huge areas of Indian Balsom in the damp areas - there was a notice somewhere stating that they were trying to eradicate it as it is non-native and covers all the native plants
They're so pretty I can well see why people thought they were a good idea on big estates and gardens alike - and I have to say prettier than most of the indigenous plants that are flowering at the moment
After being out in the hot sun all day, it was very pleasant to walk in the shade
The recent hot weather has encouranged the Duck Weed to multiply in the still ponds
