This rather tropical looking climber at Church Farmhouse is Tecomaria capensis - Cape Honeysuckle - and it's flowering again !

  1. We have this in our garden here. I think it is a South African climber and is called Cape Honeysuckle, but am not sure. It is a pest and has grown to the top of some of our boundary trees by hanging on.

  2. Tecomaria capensis - Cape Honeysuckle it is. I must admit that the hummingbirds do like it though.

    1. Thanks Lynn - Church Farmhouse is in such a sheltered spot - just below the Church and the garden has been planted with lots of tropical style plants that would not survive elsewhere in Perranuthnoe. One man's pest is another man's treasure !
