PERRANUTHNOE is a small village on the South Coast of Cornwall, just East of Marazion, there is a Car Park and sloping access to a safe sandy beach and the beachside Cabin Cafe. It has The Victoria Inn a superb multi award winning pub, which serves super food both lunchtimes & evenings, - a Church dating back as far as 1160. The Lynfield Centre which houses The Cowhouse Gallery, The Peppercorn Cafe and a hairdressers.

A beautiful patch of Heather still in full flower
I keep meaning to look up what this strange plant is that grows all over the Gorse - if I post the photo then I will have to look it up ! Well ! I looked it up - pictures in the book looked nothing like it, but have found it on the Internet - it is Common Dodder, Cuscuta epithymum,  which is parasitic - here on Gorse.

  1. It is dodder which is a parasite. I remember it as I had to know it fro Botany A level all those years ago.
    The heather is spectacular, and I wish I had gone up to the moors while I was there to see it.
