The Minack Theatre

Mike's recent photo of The Minack from the sea, made us realise that we hadn't been there this year, so we decided to stop off after Porthgwarra
It was the first setting up day for next weeks production of Iolanthe presented by Cambridge University, Gilbert & Sullivan Society
Huge amount of equipment to set up - and this was only part of it
A certain amount of mountaineering skills needed
Not sure where a Phone Box comes into Iolanthe
More stuff arriving all the time
Through the gate !
Looking back down as we go back up the stairs - heading for the cafe - of course !
Spotted this High Speed Craft, Solway Challenger with e-on on the side - making for the Wind Farms near Whitehaven
Lizard Lighthouse glistening in the sun around 15 miles away

    1. We were amazed at the amount of technical stuff alone they had there - huge amount of lighting, but of course quite a large part of the performance will be in failing light, or darkness. We really enjoyed our day - so glad that you did too ! Sue

  2. Pity you didn't have a longer zoom Sue, you would have spotted us having lunch at the Lizard Cafe ;-)) Great photo's as usual, the heather is beautiful, the cliffs on the Lizard are showing beautiful colours as well at the moment. Thanks once again. Most enjoyable.

    1. Really pleased that you managed a trip out - Lizard is on the list for us to do before Winter sets in - although it's not the dogs favourite as they have to be on the lead more, due to the high cliffs. Think we missed the best of the Heather, but it's been so busy everywhere and the road to Porthgwarra is hellish even on a quiet day !
