At least The Mount was just about visible as Jim took the dogs up to Trebarvah & back - It started to rain later and since it hadn't stopped by walkies time, we set off to Godolphin Woods.
This is the fourth time I've tried to post these photos and if it doesn't work this time I'm giving up since they're not great anyway !
The Ferns are still nice and green alongside the stream
The Heather has almost finished on the old spoil heap, but the little trees are looking very healthy
Lots of Fungi in this damp woodland - Think that this is a Puffball
and an Earth ball
No more Fungi - I've had enough !
I wouldn't mind one of those little trees in the woods for Christmas! Sorry it has been so damp and misty. It's been very damp here too, but with strong winds. Many trees uprooted around the State and suburbs of Melb. A few of my shrubs blew over.
ReplyDeleteHope you are both well. Betty
Hello Betty, yes it sure has been grim for the last week or so - feel rather sorry for those who have come down to Cornwall for this week. Should be quite a fine weekend.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear you've had such strong winds - suppose it's almost Summer down there - have been enjoying your photos of your big trip embarassed to admit that I had to look where Baddesley Clinton is - turns out it's not that far from where we lived in Leicestershire - Lovely place. Hope that your weather calms down soon. Sue
