We arrive at the stunning lodge looking out over Loe Bar & the ocean. When we used to stay in Porthleven many years ago, you could walk or drive all the way along the coast road to here - but the road fell into the sea, so you have to drive the long way through the estate now.
 Lovely style of building
Lovely Fascicularia  (crimson Bromeliad) on the wall
With lots of new flowers and it's so big they'd had to strim it as it was over the track !
We turn back to walk through the estate and back to the car

  1. I have lots of walkers joining me at Christmas, so I will have to take them to the estate for a walk, before visiting Porthleven and the Mount. I am getting nervous at finding things for them all to do for a week, so thanks for reminding me of this option. I just hope the weather cooperates a teeny bit during the Christmas/New Year week. Don't mind cold, but rain does put a damper on everything - sorry! Lynn

  2. Hi Lynn, It is a good walk especially for a windy day - I know what you mean about finding things to do - can be so tricky if the weather is bad. The Rinsey Head wlk we have done today is stunning on a good day, but very exposed ! We don't like the rain either - neither do Wooster & Tilly, hence the visits to the woods as it's not quite so bad then ! Sue
